On Sunday we had Stake Conference (ie multiple congregations make up a "Stake"; referencing symbolism introduced in Isaiah--the gospel as a tent of protection and the stakes hold it in place.) Anyway, hundreds of people quietly listening and, in the middle of it, Olivia had a huge tantrum. Kicking, clawing, arching her back, her face was beet red and the veins in her neck were protruding as Dustinn was carrying her out. Just as they reached the door she leans over his shoulder and with the sweetest little voice calls out "bu-bye, bu-bye" while giving her beauty queen wave.*
The girl knows exactly what she's doing.
*it took a lot of self-discipline (and my hand cupped tightly over my mouth) to stifle the laughter.
I swear she looks just like one of my niece's in that picture. Rachel's daughter.
ReplyDeleteThanks for this post this morning. I laughed out loud at that image! She's so funny!
ReplyDeleteahhhhhhhhhhh!!! Better laughing than tearing your hair out. haha. Love this charming age :)
ReplyDeleteOooh you are in for it with that little pistol, momma! (I can say that because I was a handful for a short time as well)
ReplyDeleteOnce Jack crawled under the pews, all the way to the front. And he's thrown a toy car at the back of someone's head. And there was a period of time where he would yell "Amen-All done!" in the middle of the prayers.
But the best is that Olivia knows how to work the system- I love it!
