PART I: Bunny stuff
 |
Egg Hunt at church.
This image actually captured a hilarious moment. Despite pleas and encouragement,
Button put her foot down and refused to pick-up (or accept) a single egg during the
hunt. When we got to the car to go home, she became very upset. We convinced
Beau to give her his basket. Here he is SO proud of himself for doing a good deed as
she immediately assumes ownership, motioning "don't you dare come near my eggs!"
Her spunkiness makes us laugh so hard!! How we love our little children!

When he first spied the basket,
"Hey, it's my basket from my room... dat bunny is so clever!" |
PART II: We tried to teach about the true meaning of Easter by filling plastic eggs with small emblems that represent things that occurred during the last week of the Savior's ministry and/or teach about the atonement and resurrection. Our kids really enjoyed taking turns choosing an egg and talking about the stories.
Such a good idea for teaching them about Christ. I love how focused they both look, you can see them learning, even though they are still young.
ReplyDeleteThat picture of Bradshaw holding the sacrament cup... totally a Nelson face.... I'm going to have to take a picture of him doing that and we'll have to do a compare and contrast. :) I love it Val! So inspiring on some cute things to do for my future family with Nelson... thank you! We love you!
ReplyDeleteThat is so awesome! Even cool that what we'd thought of doing and didn't since everyone was sick and L doesn't care about eggs yet- just the slide and swings still. Guess that's what happens when eggs are hidden in the sand at the playground. I'd planned to do little pics inside the eggs, but this is WAY cooler. Thanks for the idea. :)
ReplyDeletep.s. You are an incredible mom! Way to rock it sister! Those kids are so lucky!
For some reason, my blog list doesn't update when you have a new post. Weird.
ReplyDeleteSuch a cute lesson for Easter. At Jack's preschool they did something similar. Isn't it great to see them absorbing knowledge about the Savior.
Oh Dani, it's my fault. I turned off the blog feed when setting it up...and forgot to turn it back on. Thanks for telling me.
ReplyDelete@Ginnie
ReplyDeleteI agree TOTALLY a Nelson face. Hilarious. I didn't see it until you mentioned it, now I can't see anything else. lol
