At 2 years and 5 months, our little girl:

...is my buddy.  She likes to run errands and help cook.  She also likes to match me and will pick out similar clothing.  I am so grateful to have her as a friend and member of our family.

...she is very grown-up for her age.  She's acclimated to doing things alongside her brother--she dresses & undresses herself, bathrooms herself from start to finish (and wakes up during the naps if she needs to go), she asks to be excused from the table when done eating and puts her dishes in the sink, responsibly puts away clothing and toys, and keeps up with the 4-year-old playground games.
so excited to get letters from Grandma J!!!
(B is ensuring she doesn't fall off the stool)
...says "Mine!" all day long.  When we're out walking, she often points to a skyscraper and says "Mine!"  If we don't confirm this statement (ie "Yes, L that's yours") she will begin to whimper, "Mine....[sniff, sniff] it's mine" until it escalates.  Silly, silly girl.  The world is a big place and she wants to conquer it all at age 2.

...loves to pray!  Every time we're about to pray she asks, "it's my turn?"   All of her prayers start with "Thank Thee for meeeee..."  She will pray indefinitely until we prompt her to finish.  Her prayers meander in a adorable, hilarious way that's reminiscent of this clip:

...is growing so quickly, she seems unaware of where her body begins and stops.  She takes 2 steps, then trips, another 2 steps, then trips.  She walked straight into the edge of our kitchen table 5 times in one evening.

...always flushes the toilet with her feet.  (She saw me do that once at a public restroom and I guess it stuck.)

...changes her clothes 20 times a day.  Most of the time she is running around in just underwear.

...cheerfully shouts "booyeah" when she is proud of something.

...loves to eat sludge out of the crevices in her shoes.  No matter how often we explain how gross it is, I often turn around and see her sneakin' a taste.  She also likes to lick toilet seats.  :(

...has a good imagination.  She was across the room when she started crying.  "What's wrong?"  "B bit my tongue!"  B wasn't home.

...makes us laugh.  A few nights ago I was trying gloves on her to see which, if any, still fit.  She was having trouble getting her hand in a large pair and I said "Push sweetie; push!"  I heard a little noise and she throws her head back in a wail. "What's wrong?"  Despairing, she said, "I pushed and I pooped!"
(Turns out it was only a toot.  But she takes pride in being a big girl and, poor girl, she was just being obedient to her mommy's request to "push.")

...every night in her little voice she asks for "huds and tisses."  :)
...has a lot of coughing fits over the past few months.  The bad ones lead to vomiting.  Her pediatrician doesn't think it's viral and is sending us to the allergist.  Other than mid-coughing fit, she's a happy camper and this doesn't seem to slow her down.
