Week 13

Day 85
More of my nephew Auden.  He's mimicking the
faces my mom is making.  Isn't he precious?
Day 86
More baby Auden.  Such a handsome little dude.

Day 87
I was on the way to take L to the doctor.
My friend asked if L was sick and I replied "no, it's her half-birthday so it's a well-child check-up."
Well, L overheard "half birthday" and that was all it took.
She squealed the news to everyone we saw.  Sang the song.  Reminded B of her "birfday" when she wanted something from him.
So we made a (cheese) cake and celebrated.
Day 88
family pile-on/steamroller in B's fort.
It was either this picture or one of L picking her nose. :)

Day 89

Day 90
(I love this picture.  Her smile is adorable.)
All of our painted ladies had the audacity to emerge from their chrysalides  while we weren't home!!! So sad.
I have fond memories of my dad searching for chrysalids and gently hanging them indoors so we could see.  (Then we'd let them go...it's a long journey to Mexico.)  At one point, I remember our living room full of monarchs fluttering around.

Day 91
We watched Conference!
The kids got excited every time they saw someone they could name.
B asked nonstop "what is he saying? what does that mean?  who did that? why?"
It was sweet but hard to hear the answers he was asking for.
The kids napped together in B's fort during the second session.

There were prophets in days of the Bible and there is a prophet today.
All are invited to hear his words.  You can listen to the messages: here

  2. From Nelson: B is getting REAL tall and skinny! The picture of L with the butterfly is perfect. "It makes your career if you were a photographer." :)

I completely agree with everything Nelson said + I love the family dog pile picture!! Happy half-birfday to L!! We love you!

    2. I thought the same thing about B stretching...it's like a little boy is disappearing and being replaced with a bigger one. I love both boys dearly, but it's hard not to be tearful about the little one that's gone, never to return.
